Welcome to NEESforge, the community code repository for the Network for Earthquake
Engineering Simulation (NEES) community. The purpose of this site is to enable all members of the
NEES community to make their software available publicly, as well as to provide a
means to view software other NEES sites have developed. This is the place to
share any useful code, and to find developers to collaborate on your software projects.
NEESforge has tools to help your team collaborate, including:

OpenFresco 2.5 & Manuals have been released

OpenFresco is a software framework that facilitates local or geographically distributed deployment of hybrid simulation. The Open-source Framework for Experimental Setup and Control (OpenFresco) carries out in a convenient, modular and standardized manner those additional functions needed by structural analysis software (such as Abaqus (TM), LS-Dyna (TM), Matlab (TM), OpenSees, UI-SimCor, and Zeus-NL) to work with laboratory equipment to perform hybrid simulations. Based on a systems analysis of the operations performed during hybrid simulations, OpenFresco provides independent modules for connecting to analysis software, specifying test setups, interacting with control and data acquisition systems, and accessing communication protocols. Experimental control and data acquisition modules are available for popular systems manufactured by dSpace (TM), MTS (TM) (STS and FlexTest systems), National Instruments (TM), SCRAMNet (TM), Shore Western (TM) and others. OpenFresco provides modules for experimental setups for many common one-, two- and three-dimensional test configurations. Being object-oriented and open source OpenFresco’s capabilities can be easily extended and adapted to meet project specific needs, including complex configurations of actuators and test setups. OpenFresco is computer and operating system independent.

With the support and collaboration of NEESit and NEESinc, the MUST-SIM research team at Illinois has developed and thoroughly tested a general purpose Multi-Site, Multi-Platform, Distributed Hybrid Simulation open-source software package. We are pleased to offer the package, UI-SIMCOR, to the community and support its use and further development. SIMCOR’s source code, documentation, and examples can be downloaded from NEESforg at http://neesforge.nees.org/frs/?group_id=21.
OpenFresco 2.0 & Manual have been released

OpenFresco 2.0, which is now based on a three-tier architecture and is independent of OpenSees, has been released. Any finite element analysis software that allows for the addition of elements can now be used with OpenFresco 2.0.
